Since being home, I began a job working as a foster care worker with a local department of social services. It was not what I expected at first since I was more interested in the health field but it helps to have experience. I've decided not to get my masters in public health but to rather get a certificate in public health with the university of florida, focusing on HIV/AIDS.
In 2016 I plan to apply for a PhD program.
Life as a Foster Care Social Worker has been interesting, rewarding, confusing, gratifying, and saddening.
